Our winery has a very marked influence of Vilaflor, one of the main wine-growing areas of the Canary Islands.
It is the area belonging to the region of Abona with the best characteristics for a good development of the crop.
Almost half of the grapes that enter the winery are certified organic, thanks precisely to its optimal environmental conditions.
On the other hand, we have a significant amount of grapes associated with other crops such as potatoes, fruit or certain vegetables.
The winery was created by the initiative of several farmers who made wine with grapes from their potato farms.
The elaborations of the time were handmade and for sale in bulk.
That is why they felt the concern to join a cooperative to produce wine and start bottling under the label of the Regulatory Council of Abona with the minimum quality parameters required by the market.
In this way the winery becomes the first local winery on the island.
It is a winery perfectly adapted to the new oenological trends, which guarantees the best organoleptic characteristics of its wines and also in the correct hygienic-sanitary conditions.
It is currently in the process of achieving ISO 22000 accreditation, which specifies the requirements that a management system must meet to ensure food safety.
