On October 11, in Lanzarote, the University of La Laguna and Bodegas El Grifo recognized the best academic papers on wine tourism this year. The initiative, promoted by the Chair of Agrotourism and Wine Tourism of the Canary Islands, encourages dialogue between academia and business, highlighting innovation and sustainability in the sector.
The winners in this edition were: 
Juan Alberto Suárez Rodríguez (University of La Laguna) – Award for Best Final Degree Project. Santiago González González (University of Alicante) – Prize for the Best Master’s Thesis. Edgar Javier Sabina del Castillo (University of La Laguna) – Prize for the Best Doctoral Thesis.
