Today, Laura Paiz Acosta, Councilwoman Delegate for Tourism, Citizen Participation, Protocol, Collaboration and Cooperation of the municipality of San Miguel de Abona, met with the manager of the Canary Islands Wine Tourism Cluster, Mr. Hernán Tejera.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the development of wine tourism in the municipality. The area directed by Laura Paiz, advocates a quality tourism development that seeks synergies between tourism, the agricultural landscape and the wine tourism offer. For the development of these objectives, the Cluster has offered its collaboration and the experience of the partners of the entity.
The Canary Islands Wine Tourism Cluster is a regional business association, formed by wineries and tourism companies linked by the same value chain, the wine tourism activity. The following wineries are currently members of the Cluster: La Geria, El Grifo, La Hubara, CONATVS, El Lomo, Linaje del Pago, Cooperativa de San Miguel, Bodegas Insulares Tenerife, Bodegas Niray, Bodegas Reverón, Bodegas Teneguía, Los Berrazales, Bodegas Bentayga, Finca Escudero, together with the tour operators, El Cardón NaturExperience, Etnoexperience Canaria, the Cátedra de Agroturismo y Enoturismo de Canarias of the Instituto Canario de Calidad Agroalimentaria and the University of La Laguna and ADP Canarias.
