The “4 lees” is our latest offering

Our commitment to a great Listán blanco, produced from vineyards at altitudes of 850 meters above sea level, led us to rethink the possibility of innovating and exploring a winemaking process that would combine the potential of this heir to the Palomino fino de Jerez with our own philosophy of innovating while respecting our traditions. This is the origin of the first white wine from lees to be produced at Bodega El Lomo.

The lees, co-protagonists of this wine, come from a unique vineyard: located in the shelter of a volcanic caldera in the region of Tacoronte with excellent geographical and climatic conditions. We decided to “build” a vineyard that houses an exceptional representation of four varietals, that enologically we consider absolutely extraordinary and differential: Gual, Albillo criollo, Vijariego blanco, Baboso blanco and Verdello.

The “4 Lías” has a distinctive character, a straw yellow color with golden hues resulting from the work on lees and with an aroma of ripe fruit. Harmonious, voluminous and long, it offers a good balance between body and natural acidity.

Tasting notes:

  • Clean and bright, straw yellow color with golden hues.
  • The nose is complex, with ripe stone fruit (plum and peach) and pastry notes from the lees, as well as hints of white flowers and balsamic vegetables typical of the growing environment (fennel).
  • Fresh and very powerful on the palate, with a clear mineral character given by the volcanic soils, balanced taste, sweet, with great length and personality, ending with a great aromatic amplitude.

We can’t wait for you to try it and love it!
